Letter to the Editor: Vote for Reigstad in District 3 primary

The following is a letter to the editor published in the Feb. 14, 2025, edition of the Fitchburg Star.

As a society, we need good people with common sense serving in our governments. They need to be men and women who have a strong moral compass, focusing on the needs of all, rather than a narrow ideology.

They need a passion to serve and an unsurpassed energy coupled with laser-like focus. Logan Reigstad is one such man who is running to represent District 3 on the Fitchburg Common Council.

In addition to serving on the Fitchburg Transportation and Transit Commission, Logan serves as Secretary on our Condo Association Board. He is one of the first to step up to serve, whatever the need. As board president, I have witnessed Logan be the first in line to move something forward, and the first to complete whatever assignment for which he has volunteered. He is a thoughtful person, carefully considering all perspectives and viewpoints; always including those who may be overlooked or ignored.

His approach to problem solving always begins with fact-finding discovery. He asks, "What's the evidence?" and proceeds to gather as much evidence as practical, from which he moves into developing a plan of action. His problem-solving skills will serve our local government well.

He is a good man with common sense. We need solid leaders representing us in the Fitchburg Common Council, as such, he needs your vote as he is running to represent District 3 on the Fitchburg Common Council. Please consider voting for Logan Reigstad in the primary on February 18th, and again in the Spring election on April 1st.

Sincerely,

Dr. Robert Smiley

Fitchburg
